“Within you resides the very same spark of infinite energy and limitless potential that animates all living things.” Panache Desai

I am an experienced Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and a certified Sensorimotor therapist. I work with individuals 18 and older to support healing from trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, chronic pain and illness, stress disorders, and relationship distress. My therapy style can best be summed up in an 80’s rock song:

“Hold on loosely, don’t let go—if you cling too tightly, you’re going to lose control.”

“Hold on Loosely” by 38 Special

I live and work from the perspective that we are all human. In times of challenge, we tend to hold on tightly to the idea that there’s a right or wrong answer, that we are good or bad, and that we should do a specific thing or be a certain way. By learning to adjust our “grip,” we can identify what is truly meaningful for us and take action with intention.

I trust in our body’s organicity to heal from the scars left by trauma. I believe the potential for healing is within all of us, but rarely does it happen alone. Attuned and safe relationships are often the missed experience in trauma, and healing happens in safe and attuned connection. Most of us need a guide to help explore and transform our stuck patterns of thoughts, feelings, and what is being held in our bodies. Together will we discover what it means to truly feel safe and at home in your body. Our work will always include compassion, curiosity and creativity.
